JK Homegrown Farm Stand, Pickup, and Biosecurity Policy
Last updated: August 31, 2026
Purpose and Scope
This policy governs use of the JK Homegrown farm stand, customer pickup appointments, property access, animal handoffs, transportation equipment, and customer conduct intended to protect the people and animals on the property.
Product-specific availability, payment, reservation, refund, return, and health terms remain governed by the applicable JK Homegrown sales policy or individual written agreement.
Farm Stand Location and Use
The JK Homegrown farm stand is located outside the property gate near Blanchard, Oklahoma. The exact address and any necessary directions are provided after an order, reservation, or pickup is confirmed.
The farm stand is self-service. Farmstand Friday is the regular full-stocking day, with available products stocked in the morning and sold first-come, first-served while supplies last.
Availability may vary according to production, season, weather, and current farm conditions. An announcement or availability post does not guarantee that an item will remain in stock.
Available and Reserved Items
Unreserved farm-stand items may be purchased first-come, first-served.
An item marked with a buyer's name has been reserved and is not available to anyone else. Customers may not take, move, open, or disturb another customer's reserved order.
Table eggs may be placed in the stand for a confirmed pickup on an agreed day other than Friday. Hatching eggs, live poultry, and other live animals are not ordinary self-service farm-stand inventory. Those purchases must be arranged directly with JK Homegrown.
Farm Stand Payment
The farm stand accepts cash, Cash App, Venmo, and payment through the JK Homegrown website. Payment must be completed before the customer leaves with the purchased items.
Customers paying cash should bring the correct amount because change may not be available.
Payment and reservation terms for a particular order remain subject to the applicable product policy and any directly confirmed arrangements.
Designated Pickup Area
All customer pickups and live-animal handoffs occur in the designated pickup area outside the gate beside the farm stand. JK Homegrown will bring the purchased animal to the buyer.
Customers and their companions may not enter through the gate, enter the property, enter livestock areas, or assist with catching an animal. No one may reach through or over the fencing.
The buyer is responsible for ensuring that every person accompanying the buyer follows this policy.
Livestock Pickup Appointments
Livestock pickup must be arranged and confirmed in advance. Buyers must message JK Homegrown when they arrive and remain in their vehicle until JK Homegrown brings the animal to the designated pickup area or provides other instructions.
JK Homegrown may be completing farm chores and may not immediately see an arriving vehicle. The buyer's arrival message is required even when the buyer believes someone on the farm has seen the vehicle.
Early and Late Arrivals
An animal may not be caught or prepared before the agreed pickup time. A buyer who arrives substantially early without notice must remain in the vehicle and wait. The buyer may not enter the property or offer to help catch or prepare the animal.
If a buyer is substantially late without notice, JK Homegrown may message the buyer to determine whether the buyer is still coming. JK Homegrown is not required to remain available beyond the agreed pickup period or abandon other plans to accommodate an uncommunicated delay.
If JK Homegrown must leave, the gate will be locked and the pickup will be considered missed. A buyer who promptly and politely communicates a legitimate delay may be allowed to reschedule on a case-by-case basis.
Deposits, missed pickups, rescheduling, and additional holding time remain subject to the applicable sales policy or individual agreement.
Parking and Road Access
Buyers may pull into the driveway and use the space near the gate and farm stand to park, back out, or turn around. When ground and property conditions permit, a buyer may also pull onto the grass or easement rather than obstructing traffic.
No vehicle may block the road. Buyers remain responsible for safely entering, parking, turning around, and leaving in a vehicle appropriate for the road and current conditions.
Children and Other Visitors
Children should remain inside the buyer's vehicle whenever possible.
If a child must exit the vehicle, the child must remain under the immediate control of a responsible adult and within the designated pickup area. Children may not approach the gate, reach through or over fencing, roam near the property, or attempt to interact with any animal.
Failure by a child or another companion to follow these requirements is treated as a violation by the buyer.
Pets and Service Animals
Customers should not bring pets to JK Homegrown. If a pet is present in the buyer's vehicle, it must remain secured inside the vehicle throughout the visit.
Releasing or removing a pet from the vehicle creates a biosecurity risk and may provoke the working livestock guardian dogs. It will result in immediate cancellation of the transaction.
Service animals are not treated as pets under this rule. Pickups take place outside the gate so a person using a service animal can complete the transaction without entering the livestock areas. A service animal accompanying a customer must remain under the handler's control. If a particular service animal is out of control or poses a direct safety threat, JK Homegrown may require the animal to be removed from the immediate pickup area while continuing to make the purchase or pickup available without the animal present.
Working Livestock Guardian Dogs
Livestock guardian dogs are actively working on the property. A guardian that appears friendly should not be treated as an invitation to approach, touch, feed, call, or otherwise interact with the dog.
The dogs may interpret an unfamiliar person, child, pet, or other animal as a threat. Visitors must follow all posted signs and instructions for their own safety and the safety of the animals.
Illness and Disease Disclosure
Before arriving, buyers must notify JK Homegrown if they have recently experienced unexplained illness, a known or suspected contagious disease, or unusual deaths among their poultry or livestock.
Disclosure does not automatically cancel the sale. Depending on the circumstances, JK Homegrown may postpone the pickup, take additional precautions, or arrange the handoff at an appropriate public location away from the farm.
Failure to disclose a known or suspected disease concern may result in cancellation of the transaction and refusal of future service.
Footwear and Personal Biosecurity
Visitors must arrive in clean footwear that has not been worn in their poultry yard, livestock area, barn, animal enclosure, or another location where it may have been exposed to manure or contaminated bedding.
This requirement applies even when the customer expects to remain outside the gate or visit only the farm stand area.
Outside Animals and Unapproved Drop-Offs
No poultry, livestock, or other animal may be brought to the pickup area unless its presence has been discussed with and expressly approved by JK Homegrown beforehand.
No animal may be returned, surrendered, or left at the farm without prior approval and completed arrangements. Unauthorized drop-offs are handled under the JK Homegrown Returns, Rehoming & Breeder Take-Back Policy or the applicable livestock guardian placement policy.
Carriers, Crates, Trailers, and Vehicles
JK Homegrown provides an appropriate transport container for hatchlings.
The buyer must provide suitable transportation for every juvenile or adult animal. JK Homegrown does not provide or loan carriers for juvenile or adult animals.
Every buyer-provided carrier, crate, trailer, or livestock compartment must be:
- Appropriate for the animal's species, age, size, and number.
- Secure and capable of preventing escape.
- Adequately ventilated.
- Structurally safe and in usable condition.
- Reasonably clean and free from manure, used bedding, and contamination from other animals.
Adult poultry may not be transported in a cardboard box. They must have a secure, adequately ventilated carrier.
Livestock may be transported in the rear compartment of a large SUV, minivan, or similar vehicle only when adequate containment and safety measures prevent the animals from roaming freely through the vehicle or interfering with the driver.
Inadequate or Missing Transportation
JK Homegrown will not load an animal into transportation that is missing, unsafe, unsanitary, too small, inadequately ventilated, insecure, or otherwise unsuitable.
Arriving without an acceptable carrier, crate, trailer, or secured vehicle arrangement results in cancellation of the pickup. The buyer's travel time or distance does not create an exception.
Any applicable deposit is forfeited and nonrefundable when the transaction is canceled because the buyer failed to bring suitable transportation.
Transfer of Transportation Responsibility
The buyer must follow JK Homegrown's instructions during the handoff and loading process.
Once the animal has been transferred to the buyer, responsibility for the carrier, vehicle conditions, restraint, handling, route, travel time, and safe transportation belongs to the buyer. The applicable animal-sales policy controls any related claim, refund, replacement, or remedy.
One-Strike Access and Biosecurity Rule
Serious access, safety, or biosecurity violations result in immediate cancellation. These violations include, but are not limited to:
- Entering through the gate or entering the property without permission.
- Reaching through or over fencing.
- Allowing a child or companion to roam, enter restricted areas, or reach through fencing.
- Releasing or removing a pet from the vehicle.
- Bringing undisclosed or unapproved poultry, livestock, or other animals to the farm.
- Approaching or interfering with a working livestock guardian dog.
- Refusing to follow parking, loading, safety, or biosecurity instructions.
- Committing another act that creates a serious risk to the people, livestock, poultry, guardian dogs, or property.
When a transaction is canceled for one of these violations:
- The buyer will be instructed to leave immediately.
- Any deposit is forfeited and nonrefundable.
- The buyer will be placed on JK Homegrown's permanent do-not-sell list.
- Refusal to leave may be reported to law enforcement and treated as trespassing as permitted by applicable law.
Right to Protect the Farm
JK Homegrown may refuse, postpone, relocate, or cancel a farm-stand visit or pickup when weather, animal welfare, disease exposure, property conditions, an emergency, unsafe conduct, or another legitimate concern makes the planned visit inappropriate.
When JK Homegrown changes or cancels a transaction for reasons unrelated to buyer misconduct, the applicable product or sales policy controls any deposit, refund, credit, replacement, or rescheduling terms.
